I’m venturing into the Pet Photography business. I’ve always had a HUGE love for animals (I am definitely one of THOSE people), so I decided that I just needed to combine my love with animals with my love of photography.
I’m starting with dogs and from there, I hope to grow to other pets. One step at a time. Â We love our pets, why not do a special session featuring them, so we can have them to treasure forever! Â I wish I had pictures of this of my past babies!
There will be 3 different categories for my pets – Lifestyle, Urban, and Country. I may change the names, but the idea is the same.
Lifestyle = Home or Business
Urban = City
Country = Park or Nature
I hope you enjoy watching me grow in this area. I already encourage people to bring their pets to their family and senior shoots, even weddings, so this is just a further extension of that. Be sure to stop by my facebook fan page and look at the People and Furry Friends Album. It’s a fun one to browse for sure!
I have a new puppy myself and I will feature him, I promise, but for my first Pet Photography post I decided to feature my shoot with Carabiner. It’s a Lifestyle shoot done in my friend Melissa’s beautiful salon, Che’mel Salon on 6th Ave. Melissa and her staff are great and have done hair and makeup for many of my seniors as well as collaborated on several special photography projects. I love working with local businesses and supporting each other up in our local community!
Carabiner is 2 1/2 years old and is an English Toy Spaniel. She is very special, of course!
Her human Dad loves to go climbing, hence her name :).
Her favorite activity is hanging out on an available lap. Her breed was bred to sit on laps of royalty to keep them company in cold castles in Europe. Melissa tells me that she fully understands her role and does it very well.
Her favorite toy is is a stuffed little mouse that she stole from the other two kitty in the house. Every evening she seems to mis-place “flat mouse” and every evening her humanmom and dad scour the house to lookfor it for her, since she is stressed until it’s found.
Since Melissa is a hairdresser/artist and Carabiner (Beans) looks like she has hair, I thought it would be fun to get a few action shots :).
Her personality is nothing but happy and shows it by her constant wiggling of her whole butt. Her breed often is born with a corkscrew tail that you can’t see very well as a throw back from the Pug genetics. It’s burried under all that hair!
Thanks Melissa for letting me borrow an hour from you to capture your little baby! She did such a great job and your salon is beautiful!
Lisa Marsh - Hi Connie wondering about a senior pictures season for my daughter. If you could email me some prices and packages that would be great! Thanks
