Kyle is a 2015 Stadium High School senior. He doesn’t know what school he will attend or what he will be studying yet, but has a few months to think about it.
He wanted his shoot to include the Glass Museum, graffiti and Stadium, so that’s what we did :).
We found some great graffiti right down the street from my house!
Kyle is a funny guy and we had a ton of fun together. His mom and sister joined us too and that always helps with the laughs. I mean, I can be funny (um, sometimes at least), but having comical help is always welcome :).
Kyle is a swimmer, as are the other members of his family and Stadium has an awesome swim team!
It was great hanging out with all of you guys! I hope you enjoy your senior year Kyle!
Meagan is a close friend of Amanda’s and I was honored to get to do her senior portraits. She wanted something a little different, so that’s what we did! Something different, with a little bit of my normal mixed in. 🙂
Here’s some of the normal stuff…
And here is some of the different :).
Such gorgeous light!
It’s fun doing something different and it’s good to always be exploring and learning and pushing the norm.
Isn’t Meagan beautiful?
I LOVE the glasses! Such a fun time with Meagan and her mom!

Hello, love your pictures. I have a senior and like to get pictures taken. I am interested in getting pricing and find out your availability. Beside contacting me by email, you can contact me by phone, 253-297-1638. Thank you, Leticia Lyons
Holly and Micky were married at a private residence in Gig Harbor on Saturday with all of their friends and family cheering them on.
The girls got ready at a house just down the street from the venue.
Holly’s mom was there to help her into her dress. I love that we capture this part of a wedding day. I can’t even remember who helped me into my dress almost 25 years ago.
The girls looked so summery in their yellow dresses.
And these girls were a lot of fun!
Meanwhile, the guys were just right down the street.
Many couples want the first meeting to be private, but these two had all of their friends watching and cheering them on.
Lots of smiles!
We had such the perfect day.
The cutest flower girls ever!
Time to say “I Do.”
Weddings have such great details now! Everywhere I looked there was something to capture and cute ideas I had never seen before. That Pinterest!
It never fails, I cry at every wedding. Either during the first look, the ceremony or the toast. For this one, it was the toast and I was not alone!
I always enjoy when Dad’s make a toast. They are always funny and heartfelt.
More details.
The first dance.
Cake toppers are so cute!
The night ended with lots of dancing and laughing. Just how a day like this should end. Thanks for having us. By the time it was time to go we felt like family!
Last Saturday was another awesome wedding, this time at The Washington State Capital building in Olympia, then the Heritage Room just down the street.
I had a great time with Judy and Dan during their engagement session, so I knew I was going to LOVE spending the day with them at their wedding.
Judy took my breathe away when I walked in… simply stunning!
Dan was getting ready downstairs and since Judy made sure he was early, the guys kept him company.
I love being part of such a special day. Happiness just oozes all over everything! 🙂
The Capital building was just right down the street and we were surrounded by so many awesome places to capture the bride and groom that it was a little overwhelming. I know it’s their day, but I get excited too :).
These two crack me up. Every time we stopped to capture a few images, they would be in the middle of some great conversation and would pause for the picture, then resume. They were just enjoying every minute and we were ahead of schedule (which was REALLY awesome), so we could take our time and just have fun with it all.
I knew there were a few images I wanted for sure. An epic kissing picture in front of the capital and a sitting shot on the staircase.
As you know, I am now embracing the sun and not letting it limit me. I love this of Judy.

H.A.N.D.S.O.M.E.
Wedding Parties are always fun and these girls were laughing the entire day! Can you tell which one is trouble? I’m not telling :). Haha
I really LOVE this image of the guys!
This one’s pretty awesome too!
Judy put so much detail into her wedding. Starting with the colors – red and black, the use of red roses, the vintage jewelry and hair accessories, the vintage car (you will see that soon) and more, more, more at the reception!
The Capital doesn’t need any decorations. It’s memorable all on it’s own.
Such a big staircase for a little girl, but she did great. Instead of dropping petals, she handed guests white roses as she walked down the aisle.
There was a slight echo with such high ceilings, but I could understand every word and hear every smile :).
MARRIED!! Yay!
As the other guests headed to the reception, we took the long way in this vintage convertible.
I remember thinking as we we driving, wind in our hair and sun on our faces, that I am a very fortunate girl to have this life!  I just wanted to put that out there!!! 🙂
We stopped at Capital Lake to snap a few before heading to the reception. Â Yes, more SUN!
Old Hollywood was everywhere, from the red carpet entrance…
To the old movie theme music playing…
To the movie reels to sign as the guest book…
To the centerpieces celebrating old movie…
To the old time signature drinks being served…
And the movie candy and popcorn bar…
Kids were dancing in the aisles with joy… and we might have been too (love the candy bar!!).
Just so many great details! 🙂
The money dance lasted for at least 3 songs… everyone was just having too much fun to stop it!
A quick cigar break outside before we left.
What a really awesome wedding Judy and Dan. So beautiful in every way. Hugs from us both (Misty was my second for this wedding). Â We both enjoyed every minute!
I never know what to expect when I arrive at a wedding. I know my clients will be awesome because I’ve already spent time with them, but most of the time I don’t know about the venue and how everything will come together. As we arrived at the entrance to Gold Mountain Golf Course and I jumped out of the car to take the entrance picture I paused and looked around. This was going to be a great wedding. I felt it.
When I entered the back room I discovered I had a relaxed bride. Â She was just happy to be starting this day!
Steven was getting ready just right down the hall.
Sara and Steven are the sweetest couple. Sara loves the beautiful country details and Steven, well he’s a third generation country boy.
Love is beautiful!
Sometime in the day, I strive to get a more artistic image. Â Wedding days can be hectic and go by in the blink of an eye. It’s easy to get caught up with being on time and capturing all the must haves and that alone is enough to take up the whole day, but I try hard to step away for just a few minutes and get that special image that makes my heart sing.
Love the smiles and love the serious.
Like so many other weddings I knew some of the guests and bridal party. One bridesmaid (to the right of the bride) was a past senior and the daughter of one of Joe’s best friends (and the bride’s cousin). I adore her! I also did her uncle’s wedding a few years back.
I know I tend to show you all the pictures that show a perfect day, but just to keep it real, this happened.
Joe’s in charge of the guys while I’m with the girls. I love the different styles and perspectives you get with 2 shooters.
The flower girl spread these little newsprint hearts as she walked down the aisle. So original!
I really LOVE the outdoors/National Parks/woods, etc. There is just something about it that brings me peace. That’s the feeling I got as I stood at the back of the ceremony and took in all the beauty around me.
The reception was right next door and perfectly decorated with a country feel. I especially loved all the wild flowers.
Every detail was well thought out.
Sara spent a year collecting the antique watering pitchers on each table and the little jars of jam in their own little burlap holders, adorable.
Steven built the cupcake stand and it was awesome!
Time to have some fun!
I love hearing the toasts at weddings. Â It’s a small look into the lives of these two people and the love they have surrounding them.
Sara and Steven, thank you so much for having Joe and I be part of your wedding day. We had such a great time and you two are just awesome people to be around! Hugs to you both!
Jenna and Jeff were married at The Cove in Normandy Park last Saturday. It was a beautiful day and they were surrounded by friends and family.
Jenna started the morning out by getting ready with her friends at a nearby hotel. When I arrived the girls were all relaxing as they were getting their hair and makeup done.
Jenna’s mom helped her get her dress on. What a special moment for mom and daughter.
We planned a first meeting at The Cove, but first they wanted to exhange notes.
Seeing each other for the first time creates this emotion that can only be felt at this very moment. I want to go back in time and have a moment like this. That didn’t happen in the 80s when I got married.
What a gorgeous couple!
I loved the sunflowers.
The guys were ready to get this party started!
The girls too :). The bridesmaid on the far left made all the girls their own garters.
Tiffany blue has to be one of my favorite colors. So pretty!
Ceremony time…
I love this image that Joe captured!
So happy to be Mr. and Mrs!
More cute sunflowers.
Now time to let down and celebrate.
Dance until you drop… why not!
We caught these guys as we were leaving and vowed to keep their identities a secret :).  You can’t tell who they are, right? hee hee hee  Nice job guys!
Another great wedding and another thankful day that I get to do this for a living. Hugs to you both. I hope you had an awesome time in Vegas for your honeymoon!
