I love that I get to visit so many pretty locations. I love both earthy and city locations, this one happens to be one of those earthy ones with both the woods and later on the long grasses that are so popular. I’m trying to think what I would choose for myself these days… probably somewhere up in the mountains.

Demetra picked 2 different locations for her session. We can do that when they are pretty close together and we don’t loose too much in the travel time.

Can you believe that in just 3 short months this generation of seniors will be graduating and we are off to a new set? It always sneeks up on me. I will have a senior again myself next year! How did that happen? Then 2 in college… ok getting ahead of myself here. I’m so thankful to be part of these senior’s moments and look forward to many more!

Vania – Curtis High School 2015 Senior – Tacoma Senior Photographer

We’re on day 5 of Curtis High School seniors. Vania is the sister of one of my past seniors and we had a great time doing her session downtown, then at her home. She is also one of the girls in Shana’s group photos from a couple of days ago.

She’s on the cheer team at Curtis and loves to wakeboard. Really, she just loves being on the water. She lives in the right place for that!

Vania loves animals (especially her new kitten). I always tell me kids that if I lived alone I would be dangerous. I would be that crazy lady with all the animals!

She’s also very athletic and did a few little tricks for me :).

Thanks for thinking of me Vania. You were a complete joy to be with and a beautiful girl.

Trevor – Curtis High School 2015 Senior – Tacoma Senior Photographer

Trevor is a Curtis High School senior. He is the 4th senior featured from Curtis High School this week. I first met Trevor’s family a few year’s back when I did his sister’s senior pictures.

Trevor has a long list of colleges he is considering where he plans on studying Business with an emphasis in Environmental Science.

He’s a 4 year varsity lacrosse athlete and captain and has been involved being a President and Vice President of his high school throughout his years. He has also been involved with many clubs. Like I’ve told you, my seniors are high achievers and very talented. They’re very special to me!

And there’s more… Trevor is an avid traveller. He’s travelled to England, Switzerland, France, Canada, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico, Canada, and most of the United States.

He has done both local and foreign volunteer work, participating in many nonprofit organizations.

Finally, Trevor is an outdoor enthusiast who participates in snowboarding, climbing, kayaking, and backpacking. Quite the amazing person if you ask me! It was great seeing you and your mom Trevor! Thank you for trusting me with your senior portraits!

Shana – Curtis High School 2015 Senior – Tacoma Photographer

Day 3 of Curtis High School seniors. Shana is also a Running Start student at TCC and you may recognize her from Jaclyn’s post just a couple of days ago. She is in the last shot – the friend’s shot :).

Shana is not just a Running Start student, she is actually graduating with her AA degree! What an accomplishment! My daughter, Amanda is working on the same thing and I understand what a commitment this is and how hard these students work. They sit right along side college students, blending in flawlessly.

She would like to study business and/or law and last I talked with her she wanted to attend Montana State University.

My seniors are often the high achievers, but they are also very talented. Shana loves music, sings, plays piano and guitar. She also loves to ski, waterboard and do a little acting and she is AWESOME in front of the camera!

Those eyes! They are incredible aren’t they?! I know it seems I must have enhanced them, but I really didn’t. They are that stunning.

Shana had a few of her friends join us at the end of her session. Jaclyn is to the far left. She was blogged a few days ago, as I mentioned earlier and Vania, on the far right will be blogged in a couple of days. I really love how these friend shots turned out. I love the concept Shana had and I love the location we picked. Such a beautiful group of girls, inside and out!

pamela lowy - I Was Just going through same pictures,and came apond some proofs of graduation pictures of my son Justin Lowy,He graduated in 2004 .I was wondering if you were the some photograhers that Curtis High School used back then.if so ,please email me.I would love to pay to have those pictures printed.I know its a long shot,But I have To Try !!!!!! Alyssa – Curtis High School 2015 Senior – Tacoma Photographer

Alyssa is a Curtis High School senior and an officer in the National Honor Society.

She’s also a hula dancer :).

Alyssa plans on attending UW where she wants to study nursing.

She loves listening to music, volunteering, dancing and hanging out with family and friends.

Alyssa was a joy to be with and did such an awesome job in front of the camera. Many clients come a little stressed to their session, not knowing what to expect or how they’ll do. I assure them that I’ll step them through every detail and by the end of our time together they will be pros.

We hit one more spot before the light was totally gone for the day and she invited a couple of friends to join us at the very end. Thanks for trusting me with your precious senior portraits!

Jaclyn – Curtis High School 2015 Senior – Gig Harbor Senior Photographer

Yes, it’s true, I’m behind on blogging. Face down in shame! I don’t really have an excuse, since I do really love to blog, but I have had a very busy season. I’ve tried to put most of my efforts into keeping up on shoots and editing. I’m not sure I can catch up on all my senior shoots, but I’m going to try – starting with Jaclyn from Curtis High School and a Running Start student at TCC. I think I just might make this Curtis High School week :), posting a handful of my Curtis seniors.

If you are a Northwest native, then you probably love the water and boats go right along with that. Jaclyn loves it too, so we started at Thea Foss Waterway.

She is just a beautiful girl, but so humble. I love that!

I also did Jaclyn’s sister’s senior portraits a few years back, so it was great seeing her and her mom again. I feel very fortunate to be part of so many people’s lives, even if it’s just for a season.

GORGEOUS!!

I thought I would do something a little different with editing for a few of the images. The dress and flowers in the hair just screamed vintage to me, so that is where I took it. Can’t fight the force, haha.

We had beautiful light the whole session!
