Family was up visiting, so this family thought it would be the perfect time to get some family pictures done! The flowers were in full bloom at Pt. Defiance and they loved all the color, so that’s where we decided to do our session. Mom, 2 daughters and 1 grand-daughter. What a fun and sweet family!

Angelica and Kevin had the Garden Rooftop at The Landmark Convention Center all to themselves on their special day, the 4th of July!
They got ready just a few rooms apart and were always surrounded by family and friends.
It was a gorgeous day to say I DO and they were very happy to finally have this day to show their love and commitment to each other.

The Rivero family is very special to me! Nate and Ianne’s wedding was the first wedding I had ever photographed. It was small and intimate and they treated us like family from the very beginning. It was a perfect start for me! Now, many years later, I have documented countless events for this family – annual family pictures, several birthday parties and deductions, and their vow renewal. Nate plays guitar, so he is also one of Joe’s customer’s and has done the electrical work for Joe’s guitar workshop and paint booth. We not only get to be part of their special events by documenting them through pictures, but we are also a guest and treated so kindly, always. A vey special relationship and all because I was referred to them for their wedding (thanks Misty!).
Now, this family doesn’t do anything without going all out! Calixta was turning 1 and it was time to dedicate her to the Lord. They invited friends and family to the Chambers Bay Environment Building on a beautiful summer day and everyone celebrated and had a great time with ice cream, smores, coffee, food, slide show, dedication ceremony, games and gifts.
Sarah and Alec have been planning for quite some time for this special day and it finally happened last Saturday at UP Presbyterian Church.
Sarah had some special items for her ceremony, one being a handkerchief (white with pink flowers) belonging to her grandma. Her mom and sister carried special ones too.
The girls all helped Sarah feel like a princess.
Sarah’s a dancer, so her shoes resembled ballet slippers and all her girls signed the bottom of them. It’s the first time I’ve seen that done.
Another heirloom was the garter she wore. Her grandma, mom and sister had all previously worn it on their wedding days. How special is that!
GORGEOUS bride and the little breeze that blew through to add movement to her veil was much appreciated!

Time to say “I DO”. The Ceremony was performed by Alec’s dad and their pastor and Sarah was walked down by her dad and brother.

It was so wonderful to see these old pictures of past couples placed on the various tables – parents, grandparents, great grandparents – such history there.
The night continued with the toast, cake cutting, tosses and first dance.
Then the parents joined Sarah and Alec on the dance floor for a special dance.
These two are now honeymooning in Hawaii and I’m sure loving every minute of it! Congratulations!!!!
We had the honor of capturing one of my childhood friend’s (Dana’s) daughter’s wedding last weekend! Not only that, but Hannah is also a past senior of mine. I hope someday to capture her family as they grow.
I can’t tell you enough, how beautiful this wedding was and how much went into the planning and execution of it at Kelley Farms. Amy and Kyle of Amy Tanton Designs did an amazing job with coordination, flowers, decor and so much more!
We have captured over 65 weddings now and had never been to Kelley Farm, so this was a fun adventure. I love going to different venues and meeting new vendors.
While the girls got ready in the cottage, Zac and the guys all gathered in the far corner of the property in their own RV, where they couldn’t get into any trouble, haha :).
When I got married we all just did our own hair and makeup. I love that brides nowadays try to take that stress off of themselves and instead have a hair and makeup artist come to them. It’s just so nice to be pampered on your wedding day!

Hannah’s mom helped her get ready along with her bridesmaids. It’s always a special moment getting the bride ready to meet her groom.

The moment we have all been waiting for… the moment every little girl dreams of… that magical time to walk down a bed of roses and meet the man of your dreams… and say “I Do”
They didn’t spare any details and had a little kettle corn for guests to enjoy while waiting for the ceremony to begin.

I have seen this at several weddings. Couples join the bride and groom on the dance floor and are peeled away depending on how long they’ve been married. This couple was the last one standing… married over 63 years and still full of life, love and laughter! How awesome is that!
Corina Bakery made the cutest little pies and wedding cake and a family friend (Lisa Peterson) made the beautiful cupcakes!
And along with those LOTS of pink and peach candies!
The day could not have been more perfect! From the people, to the details, to the weather, to all the love and support… it was magical!

Hannah and Zac are got married yesterday! They had their engagement session last September and with my busy schedule I never got it to the blog. I wanted to post it yesterday, but with the rush of getting ready and getting to the wedding I didn’t get a chance to. So, why not post it today! I’ll have some wedding images to show by the end of the week. This wedding was absolutely gorgeous! I can wait to share. Until then, we have their engagement session to admire :).
Hannah’s mom, Dana has been a long life friend of mine. We were always on the top row in the grade school picture – the tall girls. We both had long blonde hair and spent our class time passing notes written with colorful pens folded like dog houses, triangles and tiny envelopes. While Dana remained tall, I was not so fortunate. :/ haha I never grew past 5’5”.
Hannah and Zac picked a beautiful location for their engagement session – Hannah’s Aunt and Uncle’s house. One of the most gorgeous properties I have ever seen!
I can’t wait to be part of this day. They are an awesome couple, gorgeous people, sweet and very much in love. What more could I ask for!
