Lana and Adam are the cutest and LOTS of fun! They are getting married in September in Sequim and I can’t wait! I know I’m going to love every minute after spending just a little time with these two during their engagement session. I don’t know how it happens, but I couldn’t have better clients. I really adore them all!

The day started at Silver Cloud Inn with Priscilla and her friends getting ready in a corner suite while Josh and his friends got ready at their Tacoma home.

One of my favorite parts of a wedding is seeing the unique way each couple chooses to celebrate their union.  Priscilla and Josh used a painted wooden hand for the ring bearer to carry and her bouquet was of hand made paper flowers.  Wedding Reconciliation Park 6th Ave Ballroom Tacoma Photographer Taylor_0003.jpg

Josh was all ready to meet his bride and waited for her at Jack Hyde Park.

Each wedding is unique and I’m always excited to see what’s in store for me for the day.  Courtney had a great group of people around her.  Helpful, supportive and happy. That makes for an awesome day!  Usually I get to meet my bride and groom before the wedding, when we do their engagement session, but Courtney and Kevin live out of town and that just wasn’t possible this time.  I soon found out that didn’t matter!  They were so great to be around instantly!Wedding Chambers Bay Tacoma Seattle Photographer Courtney Kevin_0001.jpg

They decided to not see each other before the wedding, so we made sure to hide Courtney away while Kevin was roaming and vise versa.  Kevin was as cool and collective as they get, the whole day!Wedding Chambers Bay Tacoma Seattle Photographer Courtney Kevin_0029.jpg

Maci is a Mountlake Terrace High School 2015 graduate and life’s been busy, so she finally found the time to get her senior portraits done. In a few short months she’ll be a freshman at UW.

Maci loves Golden Garden’s park in Seattle, so we decided to do her shoot there. It was incredibly busy, but we still managed to find just the right spots.

I always have a favorite part of a shoot and this part was it for me.  Her mom and I were walking and talking and Maci was ahead of us.  I looked up and saw this beautiful image of Maci in the white sky and dry grass.  I called for her to stop and turn around and just walk towards me.  Sometimes that’s all it takes!Senior Girl Tacoma Seattle Mount Vernon High School Maci_0022.jpg

It really was a busy day at the beach! Really!

As the sun was disappearing behind all the haze from the Canadian fires we finally made it to the water’s edge.  Our feet were black from the charcoal pieces from bon fires in the sand, but we didn’t care.  We just left the shoes behind and embraced the freedom :).  Side note: I hate wearing shoes!

I knew Keslyn and Mat would be a fun couple after we laughed so much during their engagement session! They were married at the Historic 1625 Tacoma Place on Saturday. It’s the old Cadillac dealership on South Tacoma Way, but it’s been completely redone and is a very cool venue now with an AWESOME staff!

This was a relaxed group of people, which made the day enjoyable and fun! I have to say, that is true for most of my weddings. I meet the best people and am always honored to share the day with them. Both of them got dressed at the venue and prepared to see each other for the first time.
