Conner is not only a Curtis High School senior, but he is my handsome nephew! He hasn’t made his mind up about what the future looks like for him, but he has lots of time :). Oh, to be young again! haha
Conner’s funny! We were meeting at the UWT campus, but he parked way down by the Children’s Museum, so every time he had to change his clothes he ran all the way there and back withut being out of breath and jumping right back into the session. We laughed a lot and enjoyed our time together!
Amanda is not only MY DAUGHTER, but is a 2016 Stadium High School senior doing running start at TCC. She will graduate with her associates degree and is in the top 5% of her class. She is applying to several colleges and is excited to decide on which one will be her home for the next few years. She would love to attend University of Washington. If that happens, I will have a split home – WSU/UW! She is interested in majoring in physiology and eventually going to graduate school to pursue veterinary medicine or something in the health care field, but she’s taking one step at a time and is open minded about what the final outcome will be.
Amanda has always wanted a shoot at the fair, so we made it happen. We started with hair and makeup at Che’mel Salon and bought her dress at Mod Cloth.
Someday Amanda would like to (1) go on a missions trip and help fight child hunger, (2) own a holiday cabin in Ireland, and (3) public a book.

Amanda also loves makeup and would love to pursue a side career in makeup artistry. She has another side to her though… she is part of the Tacoma Police Department Explorers program where she has attended boot camp, scored first in academics, learned how to shoot a gun, defend herself and volunteers for many local events.
She loves animals and has a precious 2 yr old dog, Cecchetti, an Italian Greyhound. Next on the list is a kitty she is hoping to get in the new year. Her’s died this past year and it’s time for a friend for Cecchetti.
She loves reading books, doing acro yoga, and driving the waterfront on a rainy day with a coffee in hand. She also teaches ballet to 3 – 7 year olds through Metro Arts.
I’m excited to see what’s in store for Amanda’s future. I know in whatever she decides she will go far and always do her best! She’s an ambitious young woman! Love this girl!
What a wonderful day we had in Sequim with Lana and Adam and all the people who love them. I know weddings can be stressful and rushed at times, but this one just wasn’t. I have learned that what makes a wedding so special is the people. Couples work on wedding preparations for months, sometimes years. From getting the venue, dj, photographer, videographer, florist, caterer, the list goes on. It all takes a lot of careful thought and time and it’s all important, definitely, but what really makes the day unique and special are the people. Lana and Adam are surrounded by good people. We felt so welcome from the very beginning to the very end. We loved every minute!
Lana and her girls stayed at this sweet cottage in Sequim and got ready here the morning of her wedding.
I love that Lana’s mom is one of the girls! Can’t leave the momma out and well, some of these girls are her’s :).The entrance to the wedding venue :).
Eberle Farms is an awesome venue in Sequim. The guests sat on hay bails with acres of land surrounding them, beautiful trees, old trucks, barns, a stream, little historic houses, just so much!

Lauren is a 2016 Gig Harbor High School senior and she’s the daughter of a high school friend :). It was great meeting up with them at their Gig Harbor home on a relaxing morning with the sounds of chickens, falling apples, a beach running dog, the beautiful water and lots of glorious sunshine… perfect for our session.

Little London is as precious as they come! Dad is a photographer and like most photographers, they are lacking in their own family portraits. We were threatened with bad weather, but it held off and we were able to avoid it all together during our session.

Althea and Tom gathered with their close family members for an intimate wedding in Volunteer Park’s Conservatory. It was a little rainy this day, but so perfect in every way.
Althea’s dad carried this little card in his pocket. Both sides were filled with memories of his Althea as she was growing up. It had layers of tape, was well loved and he was very proud to show me.

Afterwards we gathered the family for a group shot and then spent the rest of our time just taking in the landscape around us and capturing the love between these two.
I have to say, it was so nice to relax, walk the park and just document these two together without rushing! What a treat!

The Dalia’s were in bloom during this visit to the park. Last time I was there it was the Azaleas.
