Chase – Emerald Ridge High School – Class of 2016

Chase is the son of a photograher friend of mine and I am so honored to be chosen to capture his senior portraits. He wanted something rustic and interesting and we picked just the right spot for him.

He’s an Eagle scout, plays in a Jazz band and is a state qualifying cross country and track runner. He’s hoping to go to BYU in Provo Utah and do a bio chem major and he plans on going on to medical school. He likes spending time with his friends, running, reading and playing the bass guitar. He wants to climb Mt. Rainer with his Dad next summer as his senior trip.

Abbe Family – Tacoma Family Photographer

This time of year is always difficult with the rain, but we live in the northwest and it’s beautiful and it rains. The Abbe family was willing to change their plans of going to the park for fall colors to going to some downtown garages where we would be protected from all the rain drops. Right when we drove to our new spot the rain got a little lighter and we were able to actually get more than just being in the garage. I love the look of a wet roadway and the family ended up loving the new location!

I document a lot of families that have older kids, especially since I do so many of my senior’s families during their senior sessions. This family has younger kids than that, but they are still treated a little differently than those with much younger ones. I have fun coming up with different ways to show families together but still consider that they are a more mature family.

What a fun family and so great with the occasional rain drop!

Emerald and Dillon – Engagement – Tacoma Wedding Photographer

Emerald and Dillon are getting married next October at Wine and Roses Country Estate. They wanted their engagement session in the fall to best represent their wedding day and we got a beautiful fall day! We weren’t sure, since the day before it was pouring and even the morning of this session, but as the day developed the sun came out and we had a gorgeous fall day!

These two are natural together and I loved getting to know them better. They love to laugh together and did plenty of that.

I love people in love and weddings in October, so looking forward to their day! I also haven’t been to Wine and Roses and I always love going somewhere new!

Rylee – Wilson High School – Class of 2016

Rylee is a 2016 Wilson High School senior and the daughter of a high school friend that I graduated with at Wilson :). Small world! Rylee is a waterpolo player and absolutely loves it! She plays for both school and club. Her dream school is UPS and she would like to study something in the science field.

We went back and forth on where to go for Rylee’s session and finally landed on Titlow Beach. It’s a place she goes often and has fond memories there, so it was perfect. We had a great time finding cool places to use and I really love this session!

I love where we live! What an awesome city!

It was great hanging out with your family Rylee and seeing your dad again. Thanks for choosing me to be your senior photographer! I loved every minute of our session :).

Madee – Federal Way High School – Class of 2016

Madee is a Federal Way High School senior and she wanted to be surrounded by the fall colors before they were gone. This was kind of a crazy session with weather. It changed quickly on us, sun then clouds, then sun, then clouds until the sun never came back. The ground was soaked, it had been raining and the fall chill was in the air and it was an awesome session :).

This is one of my favorites!
One of those sun moments :). As soon as we would see the sun we would run and use it before it was gone again!
Madee really wanted a glitter pictures, so we got one and I loved how it turned out.

Sudden darkness for this one… it’s amazing the different light you can get in one session.

There’s that sun back! haha
Madee loves listening to music, spending time with family and friends and loves the ocean. She will be attending a 4 your college next year, but is still deciding all the details.

Whoop whoop! Senior year!

Meera – Charles Wright Academy – Class of 2016

Through the years, all my Charles Wright Academy seniors have been AMAZING and Meera is another awesome and amazing senior from there. She brought some really fun outfits for her senior shoot too.

Meera got this jacket when she visited Turkey, isn’t it wonderful?!

Meera wanted to wear a traditional Indian outfit for her another outfit. I loved the colors and we found the perfect backdrop to compliment it.

Meera has a quiet spirit about her, but that smile came out and we had such a great time!

Hair, hair and more hair! I so wish I had this much hair! A fantasy really :). I just had to fluff it and try a different part for a new look!

What a fabulous and special session!
